About American Dental Companies (ADC)
At American Dental Companies, we are actively reshaping the dental group landscape by bridging the gap between local private practice culture and centralized enterprise support. Built on our core pillars of Patient Care, Team Care, and Business Care, ADC empowers partner doctors and clinical teams by lifting administrative and operational burdens so they can focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Headquartered in Phoenix, we are seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Regional Manager to oversee practice operations, elevate financial performance, and cultivate high-integrity practice cultures across our established Phoenix metropolitan and surrounding Arizona practice network.
The Role: What You'll Do
As a Regional Manager at ADC, you are the key operational leader driving practice growth, profitability, and leadership development across an assigned regional portfolio of 8 to 10 partner practices throughout the Phoenix area.
Operating directly in the field, you will partner closely with Owner Doctors and Office Managers to optimize daily schedule density, analyze practice P&Ls, drive EBITDA growth, and streamline operational workflows. This is a field-based leadership role that requires strong local travel across the Phoenix valley, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to balance business accountability with doctor-partner alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Multi-Site Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, provider utilization, and workflow efficiency across an assigned portfolio of 8 to 10 dental practices in the Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding Arizona markets.
-
Financial & P&L Accountability: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)-including production, collections, profitability, patient retention, and treatment acceptance. Maximize EBITDA performance to achieve monthly practice bonus metrics.
-
Leadership Coaching & Mentorship: Direct, coach, and develop Office Managers to drive accountability, operational excellence, team engagement, and low staff turnover.
-
Doctor Partnership & Relationship Building: Establish strong, trust-based collaborative relationships with partner doctors and clinical teams, balancing clinical autonomy with business performance.
-
Operational Action Plans: Identify operational bottlenecks, evaluate patient experience standards, and execute targeted improvement plans across underperforming practices.
-
Central Support Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with ADC Central Support departments-including HR, Finance, Recruiting, Marketing, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)-to resolve practice-level challenges.
-
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all assigned practices maintain strict compliance with company policies, operational protocols, OSHA/HIPAA standards, and regulatory requirements.
What We Are Looking For
-
Dental Operations Experience (Required): 5 years of direct multi-site or regional dental practice operations leadership (DSO or multi-practice group experience strongly preferred).
-
Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing practice-level P&Ls, operational budgets, hygiene column efficiency, and revenue cycle performance metrics.
-
Local Field Travel (Required): Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Phoenix metro area and assigned Arizona locations during standard business hours.
-
Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated success building high-performing teams, developing Office Managers, and navigating organizational change.
-
Systems & Education: Proficiency with dental practice management software and reporting analytics (Denticon, Jarvis Analytics, Dentrix, or similar). Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
Why You'll Love It Here
-
Competitive Earning Potential: $100,000 – $120,000 base salary plus a lucrative monthly performance bonus pool ($1,000 per office/month based on performance goals-offering up to $8,000–$10,000/month in bonus pool potential across an 8–10 practice portfolio!).
-
Local Portfolio: Dedicated focus on the Phoenix metro and surrounding Arizona practices with standard daytime hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 AM).
-
Comprehensive Benefits: Full corporate health, dental, vision, paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, and 401(k) package.
-
Doctor-Centric Partnership Culture: Work within a model that values private practice legacy while providing world-class enterprise support.
