Sales Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Estimator/Representative to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project bidding processes, and collaborating closely with clients and internal teams. This is a commission paying job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed exterior construction cost estimates using Sumo Quote, and other estimating software tools.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
• Conduct negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
• Assist in analyzing project costs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities, and implementing effective cost control measures.
• Support contract development and review to ensure alignment with project scope and budget.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for future reference.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and construction site practices to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.

Skills

• Proficiency in Estimating digitally.
• Understand scope of work and have experience in decks, siding, roofing, dry rot.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
• In-depth knowledge of construction estimating, cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management.
• Construction site experience coupled with understanding of construction management principles.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards and regulations.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
