Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed exterior construction cost estimates using Sumo Quote, and other estimating software tools.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
- Assist in analyzing project costs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities, and implementing effective cost control measures.
- Support contract development and review to ensure alignment with project scope and budget.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and construction site practices to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.
Skills
- Proficiency in Estimating digitally.
- Understand scope of work and have experience in decks, siding, roofing, dry rot.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
- In-depth knowledge of construction estimating, cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management.
- Construction site experience coupled with understanding of construction management principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and regulations.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
