About the Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Content Specialist to join our marketing team. Reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content across our websites to improve customer experience and support digital marketing goals. The Web Content Specialist will work closely with the Web Operations Specialist to ensure all content aligns with SEO strategies, technical requirements, and ABG brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Content Development: Create and publish blogs, newsletters, landing pages, and on-site forms tailored to SEO and customer experience.
- SEO Alignment: Structure content based on keyword research and collaborate with SEO partners to improve visibility.
- CMS Management: Publish and manage content across CMS platforms; experience with Kontent.ai and Jamstack is highly desirable.
- User Experience Focus: Apply best practices to improve readability, navigation, and site usability.
- Analytics Awareness: Monitor performance using analytics dashboards and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Collaboration & Initiative: Communicate effectively across teams, taking proactive ownership of projects.
- Project Management: Handle content requests and updates across multiple websites in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience
- Built and published blogs, newsletters, landing pages, and forms across CMS platforms.
- Partnered with SEO teams to develop keyword-rich, optimized content.
- Conducted content audits to identify gaps and ensure consistent messaging.
- Supported website redesigns, migrations, or launches by formatting and creating assets.
- Used analytics data to evaluate content performance and recommend improvements.
Background
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years in website content creation, management, or optimization; agency, B2B, or wholesale experience a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with B2B audiences such as wholesalers, contractors, and trade professionals preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore); experience with Kontent.ai and Jamstack strongly preferred. Proficiency with SEO tools (SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console), analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio), and digital marketing platforms (HubSpot or similar).
