The School of Nursing at the University of West Florida (UWF), Pensacola, Florida invites applications for two full-time, 12-month Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice positions (#127850 and #127920).
The salary for these in-person, non-tenure eligible positions will be commensurate with experience.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Primarily be assigned to the pre-licensure nursing program and will teach in the classroom, and clinical settings on the Pensacola campus and at local community partner locations.
- This position may be assigned to teach in other School of Nursing programs as assigned or other areas the department needs direct.
- Earned a doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) in nursing from an accredited institution, or earned a doctorate (PhD, EdD) in a health-related field and a master’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Holds an unrestricted Florida license as a Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida.
- Three or more years work experience as a Registered Nurse in one of the following specialties: acute care, community health, or mental health nursing.
- One or more years’ experience teaching pre-licensure students in the classroom and clinical setting.
- The ability to incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies for higher education into course delivery.
- Familiarity with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials
