Job Summary
America's Finest Charter School is seeking a school language pathologists to work with Tk-8th grade students. Under the direction of the Executive Director and Principal, the Speech-Language Pathologist provides assessment, consultation, and speech-language services to students with communication disorders. The SLP collaborates with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development and academic success. Key Responsibilities • Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations. • Determine eligibility for speech and language services in accordance with state and federal guidelines. • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy goals. • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students. • Monitor and document student progress and maintain required reports and records. • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration. • Provide consultation and strategies to teachers and staff to support language development in the classroom. • Communicate and collaborate with families regarding student progress and support strategies. •Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and school policies. Qualifications & Skills • Knowledge of speech, language, and communication development in school-age children • Ability to assess and provide intervention for speech and language disorders • Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multilingual learners • Strong organization and documentation skills
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: 1. Possession of a valid Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential - Language, Speech, and Hearing Master's degree or higher in speech language pathology *Clinical Fellows will be considered and encouraged to apply. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Current resume 2. Current copy of transcripts (Official transcripts will be needed at hiring for salary placement). Note that a maximum of 7 years of verified school district (non-agency) SLP experience, will be granted 3. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation signed within the last 12 months. It is recommended that at least one (1) come from a supervising administrator. 4. Letter of Intent 5. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 6. All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be accepted.
