Amergis Healthcare Staffing is actively hiring School Aides/Paraprofessionals to support students in the Kenosha, Wisconsin area for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 39-week contract opportunity offering consistent hours, weekly pay, and access to comprehensive benefits.

Position Details- Position: School Aide / Paraprofessional
- Location: Kenosha, WI area
- Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: 35 hours per week
- Typical Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Contract Length: 39 weeks
- Start Date: August 24, 2026
- Employment Type: Contract
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
? Hold an Associate Degree (or higher) and be eligible to obtain a Wisconsin DPI Paraprofessional License
OR
? Successfully pass the Paraprofessional Assessment Test administered by Amergis
All candidates must be able to successfully complete required background screenings. Amergis will provide guidance and support throughout the Wisconsin DPI licensing process.
Preferred QualificationsCandidates with the following experience will receive priority consideration for interviews:
- Previous school-based experience
- Special education experience
- Behavioral support experience
- Pediatric experience
- Experience working with children or adolescents
- Classroom support experience
- One-on-one student support experience
- Autism and behavioral health experience
- Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students
- Support students in special education and general education settings
- Implement teacher-directed lesson plans and interventions
- Assist with classroom management and student engagement
- Support students with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Document observations and communicate with school staff as needed
