Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience are highly preferred:
- Elementary Special Education
- Cross Categorical Teaching
- Special Education Teacher experience
- IEP development and implementation
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD)
- Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Resource Room instruction
- Inclusion classroom experience
- Behavioral intervention strategies
- Differentiated instruction
- School-based teaching experience
- Progress monitoring and data collection
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct instruction to elementary students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements
- Support academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development
- Utilize evidence-based instructional practices and behavioral supports
- Track student progress and prepare required documentation
