What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner position at Amerequip Corp?
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long‑range production schedules.
- Balance production capacity with customer orders, forecasts, and inventory requirements.
- Adjust plans proactively based on changes in demand, supply disruptions, or machine/ labor constraints.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team leads to communicate schedule priorities.
Material & Inventory Coordination
- Ensure all materials, components, and resources are available to support the production schedule.
- Work with procurement to track supplier lead times and prevent shortages.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track key metrics such as schedule adherence, lead times, capacity utilization, and work‑in‑progress (WIP).
- Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, or opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports for operations, supply chain, and leadership teams.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with production, quality, purchasing, and logistics teams to resolve constraints and ensure smooth workflow.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.).
Systems & Documentation
- Maintain accurate production data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Create and update work orders, routings, BOMs, and planning parameters.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
