What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager (Private Equity Transactions, Strategic M&A and Industry) position at Ambition?
We’ve partnered with a market-leading, global law firm in its search for a Business Development Manager to support its Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Transactions practices, as well as several of the firm’s priority industry groups, including Healthcare, Hospitality, Technology, Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, and Sports. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to partners across the firm, helping to shape and execute integrated business development and marketing strategies on a global scale.
We would love to speak with individuals who bring strong business development and marketing experience from a law firm or professional services environment. Prior experience supporting M&A, Private Equity, or industry-focused practices would be particularly attractive.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement business development strategies for the Private Equity Transactions and Strategic M&A practices, as well as key industry groups, ensuring alignment with firmwide goals and priorities.
- Serve as a strategic partner to practice and industry group leadership, identifying growth opportunities, client expansion initiatives, and cross-selling strategies.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality pitches, RFP responses, and presentations tailored to specific opportunities.
- Consult with partners on individual business development plans and support lateral partner integration efforts.
- Manage and support client-facing events, sponsorships, and thought leadership initiatives, tracking effectiveness and ROI.
- Collaborate with Marketing colleagues on award submissions, legal directory entries, and league table rankings.

Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
