Our Electrical Design Engineers typically work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing you to build an exciting engineering career while maintaining balance outside of work.
What You'll Do
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving electrical training systems used by schools, colleges, universities, and industry partners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical equipment, control systems, software, and integrated solutions for new products.
- Create hardware and software enhancements for existing products.
- Collaborate with curriculum, marketing, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and market success.
- Troubleshoot and improve electrical systems and software to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Update designs to address obsolete components and evolving technologies.
- Develop clear engineering documentation for prototyping, production, and product support.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to work on-site in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Preferred:
- Experience programming PLCs (Rockwell and/or Siemens preferred).
- Experience with motion control systems and AC/DC drive systems.
- Experience using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience with:
- Visual Studio (Visual C , Visual Basic)
- SQL databases
- Microsoft Excel and Word
