What are the responsibilities and job description for the Setup 2nd shift position at Amanda Manufacturing?
Summary/Objective
Our setup position is responsible for setup of hydraulic or pneumatic machines to bend, coin, pierce, stamp, cut thread, or head parts as specified by prints and part layout.
Essential Functions

- Changes dies, performs machine setups, and adjusts components such as ram or power press
- Installs and aligns dies to machines utilizing hold downs, shims, and any other items necessary (Ex: Hand tools, measurement devices, etc…)
- Measures workpiece and verifies dimensions using micrometers, straightedge, and prints.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 2nd shift-3:30p-12a 40 hours per week plus occasional overtime when necessary.
