Job Title: Cook
Hours Worked: To be determined
Duties:
- Check menu and prepare and serve breakfast.
- Help dish washer put away dishes.
- Check to assure that all lunch menu supplies are available. Let supervisor know if additional supplies are needed.
- Also check supplies for the following day and communicate with the dietary supervisor which supplies are needed or if there are any other areas of concern.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work area at all times. Clean all work surfaces.
- Prepare and serve lunch.
- Clean all work surfaces
- Do weekly thorough cleanings. Maintain standard of sanitation, proper hand washing, etc.
- Check with in-coming pm cook for any special instructions.
- Sweep area at end of shift
- Perform other assigned and scheduled tasks as needed by the department.
- Ensure that 3 day pull of meat is in cook frig.

Qualifications:Qualifications: 1. Shall be at least 18 years of age
- Shall possess the ability to read, write and speak English
- Shall have at least six (6) months of experience as a cook and a familiarity with special dietary needs of residents
- Shall have criminal record clearance prior to presence in the facility
- Shall have a health screening and TB test, performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to employment. The TB test results will be received within seven (7) days of employment; the health screening report will be received within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Shall have appropriate training in first aid from persons qualified by such agencies as the American Red Cross.
Salary : $18 - $19
