Job Summary
The Production Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with molds, machine setup, and material handling. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up production machines used in aluminum container forming.
- Install, align, and change molds according to production requirements
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper forming, cutting, and output quality
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor mechanical repairs
- Perform routine inspections to ensure machines are operating efficiently
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and food safety standards
- Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout protocols
- Keep work area clean and organized
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Required: Experience with mold setup and changeovers
- Required: Machine setup and operation experience
- Valid forklift certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and machine settings
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant setting with moving machinery
- Moderate noise levels

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
