Role Summary
The Business Development Manager is a relationship builder, community connector and growth driver. This role is responsible for generating new client opportunities through referral partnerships, managing the full sales process and ensuring a consistent pipeline that aligns with caregiver capacity.
This is not transactional sales. It is consultative, relationship-first business development in a highly trust-driven industry.
A Day in the Life
- Building and nurturing relationships with hospitals, physicians, senior living communities, rehab facilities and elder law partners
- Meeting with referral sources in the field and staying active in the community
- Responding quickly to new client inquiries and guiding families through care options
- Conducting assessments and helping families navigate next steps
- Collaborating with operations and recruiting to ensure we can deliver on every opportunity
- Tracking pipeline, conversion and performance metrics
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong referral network across Middle Tennessee
- Execute consistent outreach through in-person visits, calls, events and follow-ups
- Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to start of care
- Conduct client assessments and position appropriate care solutions
- Build and maintain a target account list of high-value referral partners
- Track and improve key sales metrics including response time, conversion and time to start
- Partner closely with Operations and Recruiting to align growth with caregiver capacity
- Represent Always Best Care at community events, sponsorships and networking opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline and relationships
