Primary Purpose:
To serve in a campus leadership position as a teacher of gifted and talented students and serve as the facilitator of the gifted and talented program on the elementary campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Texas elementary teaching certificate
Minimum of 30 Gifted and Talented Education hours (6 – Nature and Needs, 6 – Identification and Assessment, 6 – Social and Emotional Needs,
6 – Curriculum Differentiation, 6 – Creativity)
G/T Endorsement or passing score on G/T supplemental certification test
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of elementary gifted and talented curriculum
Experience:
Three years successful experience as a classroom teacher
Experience teaching gifted and talented students
Experience in campus leadership roles
Salary: Teacher / 10 Months
