Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator/Shop Hand to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will operate and maintain press brake machines to shape sheet metal components accurately and efficiently. Additionally, you will support various shop floor activities, including fabrication, assembly, and equipment setup, ensuring smooth production flow. Responsibilities
- Operates Sheetmetal fabrication and hand machinery and equipment
- Operates shear equipment and press brakes
- Perform quality checks to ensure precision and accuracy
- Measure, cut, and form metal to specifications
- Perform precise fitting work in components
- blueprint reading
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings with GD&T standards.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and basic assembly processes is a plus.
- Competence in using hand tools, tooling setups, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including plasma cutting and stamping press operations.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection standards in manufacturing.
