Manufacturing Engineering - Intern

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will assist in improving manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and reducing production costs under the direction of a senior Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Support development of production workflows and process controls to ensure consistent product quality.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with production line setup and changeovers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a BSME or equivalent
• Basic skills with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Self-motivated.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive motions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift to 30 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally without assistance, and up to 75 pounds with assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other required protective equipment, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with limited climate control, including exposure to seasonal heat and cold.
• The work environment may include areas with forklift and truck traffic. Employees are required to follow all traffic control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and standards of conduct is always required.
