JOB SUMMARY:

Altron Automation needs a highly detailed, accurate and responsible Shipping & Receiving Lead. This is a first shift, full time role. We offer competitive pay and full benefits. Our shop is a high-tech environment where every project is custom. This is a fast-paced and team-oriented role that will lead shipping and receiving operations. The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for the timely and accurate execution of the material distribution and receiving function for the organization. Candidates need to be self-sufficient, problem solvers and demonstrate cooperation and accountability.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establishes and sets up shipping and receiving operations

· Interfaces daily with skilled trades, vendors, and suppliers

· Performs a 3-point check of incoming purchasing material

· Accurately receives materials in Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP System)

· Places materials in proper inventory locations for prompt retrieval

· Recognizes and resolves shipping discrepancies

· Packages outbound shipments

· Picks materials for jobs

· Accurately performs material and inventory transactions within systems

· Safely operates hi-lo and overhead crane as required

· Accurately performs inventory cycle counts

· Works well with routine and repetitive tasks

· Scans and load trucks

· Allocates material to correct job accurately

· Independently processes orders and maintains stock for Kanban

· Uses independent analysis to coordinate all outbound and inbound shipments

· Uses independent analysis organize and prepare international shipments

· Uses independent analysis to coordinate all day-to-day priorities for shipping & receiving

· Confers with leadership on shipping and receiving operations

· Verifies accuracy of receipts

· Accurately orders material in ERP System

· Identifies excess materials for disposition

· Uses independent analysis to coordinate Ebay orders from purchasing to customer delivery

· Leads Continuous Improvement activities and implements initiatives

· Performs other job duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.

· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

· 3-5 years’ experience shipping, receiving or material inventory preferred

· Must have experience interacting with customers, Fed Ex and UPS

· Preferred experience with international shipping

· Demonstrated team skills and dependability

· Able to withstand and provide constructive criticism on the job

· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy essential

· High quality communication and interpersonal skills important

· A service mentality is non-negotiable

· Must possess sound problem-solving skills

· Fluency with computers and accuracy in data entry very important

· Demonstrated organizational skills

· Able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

· Able to work well with minimal supervision

· Exercise team effort to achieve success and demonstrate respect for peers, subordinates, supervisors, and customers

· Able to understand and follow instructions

· Able to lead the implementation of new processes
