Alternative Information Systems (AIS) has been a premier WNY IT service firm for over 35 years, specializing in the SMB and the Public Sector markets. We are currently seeking experienced IT Support individuals to join our service team.
Details:
This is a full-time, onsite position. Normal working hours are 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday – Friday. Occasional special projects may require working off hours or weekends with compensation. (this is not a remote opportunity). Looking for motivated and organized individuals who work well in a team environment.
- Onsite helpdesk support for a large client in Buffalo as part of a multi-person team.
· Desktop support - primarily MS Windows platforms
· Network support and troubleshooting
· VoIP system support and troubleshooting
· Identify and escalate issues based on standard SLAs
· Communicate effectively with client and co-workers
· Use of company ticket system to create, track, update, escalate, and close service requests.
Required Experience:
· Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining Windows based technologies
· 3 years helpdesk experience
· Administration experience with Office 365 suite, including SharePoint and OneDrive
· Familiarity working with Intune, Active Directory and Group Policy
· Experience with wired & wireless networks
· Proficient with Windows OS (10,11, Server OS)
· Knowledge and experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting software and hardware.
Desired Experience:
· Managing Windows Domains and roles
· Familiarity with PSAs such as Kaseya/Datto/Autotask or ConnectWise
· Experience with remote access software
· Experience with cybersecurity applications
· Extensive experience working with firewalls, switches, access points, SANs
· Experience with remote access software
· Experience and/or certifications with the following technologies and vendors: Fortinet, Aruba, Veeam, Cisco, Extreme, virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware)
· Experience working with servers and Windows Server environments
· Knowledge of VoIP phone systems
Education: College or equivalent preferred
Experience: Help desk: 3 year preferred
Starting Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 /yr
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
