The Driver / Equipment Operator operates our state-of-the-art Smash Trucks to compact dumpsters safely and efficiently at customer sites across Cumberland, York, Dauphin, Lebanon, and Lancaster counties.
You’ll handle daily inspections, light maintenance, and keep the truck in top shape. As the face of our business, you’ll deliver excellent service, build customer relationships, and support the sales team with route planning and on-site demos. Hands-on training is provided to master truck operations, equipment use, and preventative maintenance, ensuring you’re set up for success. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record (CDL preferred, but not required).
- Able to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic; dependable and safety-focused.
- Self-starter with solid communication and customer service skills.
- Team player with a positive mindset.
- Experience with Class 6 trucks and hydraulic equipment a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT
- Regularly drive a commercial truck in traffic and all weather, with moderate to loud noise.
- Requires focus while driving, especially in heavy or inclement traffic.
- Involves extended sitting, plus frequent climbing in and out of the truck, walking, twisting, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching.
- Clear hearing, speech, and good vision (close, distance, color, depth) are essential.
