Position: Senior Accountant for Financial Reporting
FTE
Salary: 90-100k base bonus LTIP

- 2-5 years of experience in accounting
- at least 2 years in public accounting (could be a medium size public firm, or the big 4)
- strong experience with financial reporting
- bachelors in accounting not job hoppy
- someone data focused , understand data, manipulate data, understanding data architecture
- understanding financial systems and how to pull data out of a system like OneStream and oracle and subledgers.
PLUS:
- CPA is plus
- insurance experience
DAY TO DAY:
Our client, a very fast growing insurance company based out of Durham, NC is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will leverage your of accounting experience, including time in public accounting, to support accurate and timely financial reporting. Your day will typically involve preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with monthly and quarterly close activities.
You’ll work heavily with financial data—pulling information from systems like OneStream, Oracle, and various subledgers. This includes extracting data, validating its accuracy, reconciling discrepancies, and organizing it for reporting and analysis. You’ll regularly manipulate and interpret large data sets, applying your understanding of data architecture to identify issues, streamline processes, and improve data integrity.
