DAY TO DAY:
Seeking a rockstar to join an exciting start up in the insurance space and come aboard as the Controller. The Controller will lead the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements, including periodic filings for multiple entities. Manage the development of financial statements under U.S. GAAP, including consolidation activities across various business units. Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. Develop and maintain internal control structures to support financial reporting integrity and compliance. Act as a liaison for external audits and regulatory examinations, coordinating with auditors and oversight bodies as needed. Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to automate manual workflows, enhance reporting efficiency, and strengthen financial controls in a growing environment. Support accounts payable operations and expense management processes. Research and communicate technical accounting matters clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
