Job Summary
Alpine Home Health Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing home health team in the Placerville area. The ideal candidate is independent, reliable, and passionate about helping patients improve safety, independence, and quality of life in the home setting.
The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by supervising OT
- Assist patients with improving functional mobility, ADLs, upper extremity strength, coordination, and safety awareness
- Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive equipment, and energy conservation techniques
- Document patient care accurately and timely in EMR system
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising therapist and clinical team
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
Qualifications
- Current California COTA license in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Home health experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage schedule efficiently
