The PCA provides non-medical care to residents, assisting in designated daily living tasks and offering companionship and helping maintain a safe and comfortable resident environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
*Assist in answering call lights.
*Ensure resident rooms are tidy, linens are clean, and beds are made.
*Providing mobility assistance, this involves transporting residents using assistive devices to different designated areas in or out of the facility.
*Offer emotional support and companionship by interacting with residents to provide a sense of connection and reduce isolation.
*Offer hydration and assist in the delivery of meal trays
*Organize, clean and declutter assigned areas.
*Provide resident supervision as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
*Observing and reporting changes in resident conditions to healthcare professionals.
*Understand and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
*Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care
*Ability to perform in a high stress, fast-paced environment
*Ability to work in a team environment
