What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Patient Coordinator position at Alpine Family Dental?
Alpine Family Dental | Kalispell, MT
Full-Time | 5 Days a Week
Please note: A minimum of 2 years of front office experience in a dental or small healthcare practice is required for this position. Dental front office experience is strongly preferred.
Alpine Family Dental is looking for a dependable, friendly, and organized person to join our front office team.
We are a busy, growing dental practice, and this isn't an entry-level front desk position. We need someone who already understands the day-to-day flow of a dental office; answering phones, managing a busy schedule, working with patients, handling payments, and keeping track of multiple things at once.
If your experience is outside of dentistry, that's okay. We're willing to teach the dental side to the right person who already has a strong healthcare front office background.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and helping patients with questions
- Greeting patients and handling check-in and checkout
- Keeping the schedule organized and helping the day stay on track
- Presenting treatment plans and discussing costs and payment options with patients
- Collecting and posting payments
- Verifying insurance benefits and helping patients understand their coverage
- Keeping patient information and records accurate and up to date
- Communicating with doctors, clinical team members, and the rest of the front office throughout the day
- Helping wherever needed to keep things running smoothly
What We're Looking For:
We need someone who is friendly and professional but also confident enough to have conversations about treatment, insurance, and finances. You should be able to stay organized when things get busy, pay attention to the details, and recognize what needs to be done without always waiting for someone to ask.
Experience:
- 2 years of dental front office experience is preferred.
- We will consider candidates with at least 2 years of front office experience in a small healthcare practice.
- Dental terminology, insurance knowledge, and dental software experience are a plus.
We'd also love someone who:
- Is dependable and shows up ready to work
- Communicates well with patients and coworkers
- Is organized and pays attention to details
- Can handle multiple things at once without getting overwhelmed
- Takes initiative and follows through
- Is comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a good attitude and a sense of humor
What We Offer
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Bonus opportunities
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- 401(k) with employer match
- Consistent full-time schedule
- Training and support
Schedule
Full-time, 5 days per week
Additional Qualifications
- Comfortable with computers and learning new software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Apply
