Alpine Family Dental is looking for an experienced, dependable, and personable Dental Assistant to join our team!

We're a busy, established advanced general dental practice with a great team, and we're looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, takes initiative, and knows how important teamwork is to keeping a dental office running smoothly.

Previous dental assisting experience is strongly preferred. While experience in dentistry is our first choice, we may consider someone with a strong background in hands-on patient care within a medical or healthcare setting who is interested in transitioning into dentistry.

What You'll Be Doing

• Chairside assisting with a variety of general dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for scheduled procedures
• Following proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Taking dental X-rays in accordance with Montana requirements
• Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Helping patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits
• Keeping treatment rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Anticipating the needs of the doctors and helping appointments run efficiently
• Providing post-operative instructions and patient education
• Supporting the hygiene team and assisting with patient flow
• Occasionally helping the front office with scheduling, phones, or other patient needs

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• Previous chairside dental assisting experience, preferably in general dentistry
• Familiarity with dental procedures, terminology, and instruments
• Radiation Health and Safety Dental Certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control standards
• Experience with dental practice management software; Eaglesoft experience is a plus
• Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $21–$27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Applicants without dental assisting experience: We may consider candidates with previous hands-on patient care experience in a medical or healthcare practice. Applicants should already have a solid understanding of patient care, confidentiality, professionalism, and working in a clinical environment. We are not currently seeking applicants without relevant healthcare experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a regular four-day workweek. Applicants must be available for the practice's established schedule and occasional adjustments when necessary.
