Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, including dealership experience and expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues. This role involves working on various vehicle systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments using automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with vehicles.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on diverse vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs accurately.
- Perform wheel alignments, ADAS calibrations, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and communicate findings effectively to customers.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and system upgrades.
- Support the team with auto estimating procedures and parts ordering when necessary.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, and GM vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, auto estimating software, and welding techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of auto repair standards for various vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
