Responsibilities / Job Duties
We are seeking a Senior Sales Associate to guide APEX Homes' clients through the critical early planning and feasibility stages of their ADU projects.
As a specialized division under the AlphaX, APEX Homes focuses primarily on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and residential development projects throughout the Bay Area.
Because this position uniquely blends consultative sales with technical design expertise, an architectural background is highly preferred and essential to your success here at APEX Homes. You will serve as the vital link between our prospective clients, the broader sales team, and our project management division.
In this role, you will act as the face of APEX Homes in the field, applying your architectural knowledge to evaluate project opportunities, conduct site visits, perform feasibility research, and help clients clearly understand what is possible on their property. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, technically capable communicator who enjoys closing deals and building long-term client relationships outside of a traditional drafting environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Sales & Deal Closure: Drive the entire sales cycle from initial lead and property evaluation to contract execution, successfully selling APEX Homes' ADU services and packages.
-Client Consultation: Meet with prospective clients to discuss ADU opportunities, pitch our design-build capabilities, and align our offerings with their project goals and budget.
-Site Evaluations: Conduct residential site visits and property evaluations throughout Santa Clara County.
-Technical Research: Perform comprehensive zoning and feasibility research, including setbacks, Floor Area -Ratio (FAR), parking requirements, and local ADU regulations.
-Conceptualization: Assist with conceptual layouts and preliminary design coordination to help clients visualize their options and build confidence in the sale.
-Client Education: Help homeowners navigate ADU variations, project timelines, pricing, and development considerations to overcome objections.
-Project Coordination: Prepare feasibility studies, project notes, and client presentations, coordinating effectively with internal design teams, architects, engineers, and consultants once a sale is secured.
-Documentation: Maintain organized project documentation, CRM data, and ensure seamless, professional client communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Background in architecture, architectural drafting, construction, residential design, or a related field.
-Prior experience with ADUs, residential permitting, or feasibility analysis is highly preferred.
-Proven track record or strong interest in consultative sales, client management, or business development.
-Working proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar architectural software.
-Exceptional interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the ability to confidently pitch services and explain complex technical concepts clearly to homeowners.
-Comfort and capability in conducting independent field and site visits.
-Knowledge of California residential zoning and building codes is a strong advantage.
-Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Salary Type: Hourly Rate
Expected Salary Min: 33.65 USD
Expected Salary Max: 38.46 USD
