Field Supervisor - Gutters and Metal Division

Job Summary: The Field Supervisor- Gutters & Metal supervises and coordinates daily activities of metal roofing and gutter subcontractor crews. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• No direct reports but indirectly oversees subcontractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises and coordinates subcontractor crews to perform metal roofing and gutter installations and repairs. 
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with crews to ensure a high rate of quality crew retention.
• Maintains constant communication with builders providing updates of all changes.
• Conducts pre and post inspections to ensure quality meets Company standards.
• Enforces safety regulations by performing regular daily safety inspections of assigned crews.
• Works closely with scheduling department and warehouse to monitor material usage for accuracy. 
• Operates job site equipment as needed. 
• Ensures that jobs are complete and documentation is received.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of work. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to communicate and empathize with homeowners during stressful situations.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people. 
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Thorough understanding of shingle roofing systems.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma required.
• 3 years of construction experience.
• 3 years of roofing experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus and preferred

Physical Requirements

• Employees are required to lift a maximum of 80 pounds safely, following proper lifting techniques. For any items exceeding 80 pounds or items that are awkward, bulky, or difficult to handle, employees must use team lifts or approved mechanical lifting devices.
• Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in various types of weather.
