The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical support to end-users across the organization. This includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal workstation performance. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, technically proficient, and capable of resolving technical issues efficiently either remotely or in person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to service requests and incidents via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Support Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365 and other business applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights using Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VPN, remote desktop, and wireless connectivity.
- Document technical procedures, knowledge base articles, and support resolutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and other IT team members for issue resolution and hardware repairs.
- Assist in IT asset management including inventory tracking, procurement, and deployment.
- Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in a desktop support or technical support role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows/macOS environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking.
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation.
