Occupational Therapist (OT) - Mobile Outpatient

Role Overview: An Occupational Therapist provides outpatient rehabilitation services primarily in home settings for older adults, including private residences and independent living facilities. The role involves evaluating and treating patients to improve skills essential for daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs tailored to individual needs.
• Supervise support personnel, students, or assistants as applicable.
• Maintain adherence to schedules, documentation, and billing requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and caregivers.
• Assess patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and adjust as needed.
• Promote safety, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on functional improvements in areas such as mobility, cognition, sensory awareness, and daily living activities.
• Design and train patients in the use of adaptive devices and orthotics.
• Perform routine reexaminations and modify treatment plans accordingly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid, unencumbered state license.
• Reliable transportation or a valid driver’s license.
