Occupational Therapist (OT) - Mobile Outpatient

Overview: This role involves providing outpatient rehabilitation services in-home for older adults, either in private residences or independent living facilities. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients to restore, reinforce, and enhance functional performance, promoting adaptation and independence. Responsibilities include supervising support staff, adhering to treatment schedules, documenting care, participating in team meetings, making referrals, and customizing care plans based on patient needs. The therapist promotes safety, maintains equipment, and ensures high-quality, compassionate patient service. Key duties involve conducting assessments, developing treatment goals, applying therapeutic techniques across areas such as mobility, cognition, sensory awareness, fall risk management, and community reintegration, as well as fabricating and instructing on adaptive devices. Additionally, they perform routine reexaminations, modify treatment plans, and perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited occupational therapy program (ACOTE standards)
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Valid, unencumbered state license
• Reliable transportation or valid driver’s license
