What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wine Bar Server/ Beer server/ server position at ALOIS?
Responsibilities
- Serve beer and other alcoholic beverages in accordance with Utah state laws and company policies.
- Verify guest identification and ensure legal alcohol service requirements are met.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beer styles, breweries, and food pairings.
- Properly pour and serve draft and packaged beer while maintaining quality standards.
- Operate POS systems and accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service area throughout each shift.
- Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service at all times.
- Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and inventory duties.
- Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Beer Server (Cicerone Certification) required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous experience as a beer server, bartender, taproom associate, or beverage server preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beer styles, draft systems, and proper beer service techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-volume events.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cicerone Certified Beer Server credential.
- Utah Alcohol Server Certification (Sips & Tips) or ability to obtain before employment.
- Food Handler Permit.
- Experience in breweries, taprooms, restaurants, stadiums, or event venues.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
