Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, Mon–Wed)
Duration: 3–6 Months (Potential Extension)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to support sourcing initiatives across IT, Engineering, and Information Security. This role will play a key part in driving sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and leading complex negotiations to deliver business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with IT, Engineering, and InfoSec stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events including RFPs, negotiations, and contract execution
- Perform financial and commercial analysis of supplier deals at both macro and micro levels
- Conduct market research to support sourcing initiatives and strategic decision-making
- Manage day-to-day relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Drive procurement processes to ensure timely execution of renewals, contracts, and sourcing events
- Apply market insights and company trends to strengthen negotiation strategies
- Act as the primary point of contact for supplier-related inquiries and issue resolution
- Clearly communicate complex deal structures in a simplified and effective manner
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, or strategic sourcing
- Proven experience negotiating IT software and hardware contracts
- Strong financial and commercial acumen in deal analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
