Lead Solution Architect – Databricks & AWS
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are hiring an experienced Lead Solution Architect to drive enterprise cloud and data transformation initiatives for a leading consulting organization supporting Banking & Financial Services clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-scale cloud data architectures using AWS and Databricks.
- Build modern Lakehouse solutions with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark optimization, and governance.
- Architect scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Create High-Level and Low-Level Design documents (HLDs/LLDs), architecture diagrams, and deployment strategies.
- Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Drive best practices around cloud architecture, security, automation, CI/CD, and data governance.
- Mentor engineering teams and provide architectural leadership throughout project delivery.
Required Skills
- 12 years of IT experience with strong expertise in cloud and data architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, EMR, and IAM.
- Strong Databricks expertise including Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Experience designing enterprise ETL/ELT and streaming data solutions.
- Knowledge of Terraform/CloudFormation, GitOps, and CI/CD automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, networking, IAM, and encryption.
- Banking & Financial Services domain experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with Azure data services is a plus.
Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
