Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid role)
About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design and governance of a large-scale cloud platform.
- This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping a secure, scalable, and compliant Azure cloud ecosystem aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- You will play a key role in modernizing cloud infrastructure, driving automation, and ensuring long-term cloud sustainability across a mission-critical public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead enterprise-scale Azure cloud platform design aligned with Microsoft CAF
- Design and implement Azure landing zones, governance models, and cloud architecture standards
- Oversee Azure services including VMs, App Services, Storage, and Azure SQL
- Implement Identity & Access Management using Azure AD, RBAC, and Managed Identities
- Enforce cloud security, compliance, encryption, and policy frameworks using Azure-native tools.
- Build and optimize monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, etc.)
- Enable DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline automation
- Support hybrid/cloud-agnostic architecture strategies and modernization initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with judicial compliance, governance, and regulatory standards
- Provide architecture documentation, guidance, and knowledge transfer to teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of enterprise architecture experience
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud architecture and platform design
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft CAF and landing zone implementation
- Deep knowledge of Azure security, networking, and governance frameworks
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps transformation
- Strong background in enterprise IAM (Azure AD, RBAC)
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud systems
- Proven leadership in cross-functional technical architecture initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
- Experience in government or regulated environments
- Multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic architecture exposure
- FinOps / cloud cost optimization experience
- Disaster recovery and business continuity planning expertise
- Experience migrating workloads from Government Azure to Commercial Azure
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
