Hiring: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Westerville, OH
Shift: Full/Part-Time, Weekends Required
The Maintenance Engineer maintains the physical property and guest rooms, performing routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting across various trades. This role ensures the hotel remains safe, functional, and aesthetically aligned with brand standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance calls, troubleshoot equipment issues, and resolve guest complaints in a courteous, hospitable manner.
- Execute scheduled PM tasks, such as replacing HVAC filters, servicing pool equipment, and inspecting guest rooms for proper functionality.
- Perform a variety of trade tasks including plumbing (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing toilets), electrical (e.g., changing switches, lightbulbs), and mechanical repairs.
- Assist with interior and exterior surface preparation, painting, drywall patching, and furniture touch-ups.
- Log completed work orders, update preventive maintenance records, and report any major issues that require vendor or advanced engineering support.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure the engineering shop is well-organized.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None
- Must haves: Open Availability, Work Holidays, and Weekends
