Hiring: Lead Maintenance Engineer
Location: Westerville, OH
Pay: $20.00–$22.00/hour
Shift: Full-Time, Weekends Required
The Lead Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel while ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and in compliance with brand standards. This hands-on leadership role coordinates preventive maintenance programs, responds to complex maintenance issues, supports capital improvement projects, and provides guidance to the engineering team.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritize the daily activities of the engineering team, ensuring work orders and maintenance requests are completed efficiently.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies, troubleshoot complex building and equipment issues, and resolve guest concerns promptly.
- Oversee and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify maintenance needs and maintain brand standards.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire and life safety regulations, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized engineering workspace.
- Support capital improvement projects and assist hotel leadership with facility-related initiatives and emergency response as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None
- Must haves: Open Availability, Work Holidays, and Weekends
