We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Accounting Specialist with general accounting and payroll experience to drive key projects. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for gathering, calculating, documenting, and preparing a variety of billing, accounting, statistical, budgetary, and other numerical data to facilitate project billing.
We offer a competitive compensation package, $65,000 - $80,000 per year, including medical and dental plans with employer contribution, 401K retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more!

We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Accounting Specialist with general accounting and payroll experience to drive key projects. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for gathering, calculating, documenting, and preparing a variety of billing, accounting, statistical, budgetary, and other numerical data to facilitate project billing.
- Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for services rendered
- Review documents such as purchase orders, accepted work, and estimates to create invoices
- Reconcile completed work on a daily basis to verify accuracy in billing, contract budgets and payroll
- Creation of daily, weekly and monthly management reports for the CFO and CEO
- Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data, tracking project budgets and keeping other records concerning costs of services
- Creation of supplemental and supporting information including tracking certified payroll for commercial and corporate accounts
- Work closely with Sales Arborists on collection of past due accounts
- Learn and utilize custom computer software for posting for invoice generation
- Posting of checks, credit cards and ETF with daily reconciliation reports
- Track, reconcile, and report employee hours and certified payroll for 50 employees
- 4 years of experience working with accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll tracking and invoicing. Prior experience with contracts highly desirable
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Database Systems desired (we will train on our programs)
- Must be results-oriented with a high degree of integrity and drive
- Maintain a high level of accuracy with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
- Work collaboratively with other departments, management and staff
