We are currently looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management: Prepare and send invoices to clients promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Payment Collection: Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, contacting clients as necessary to ensure timely payments.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to client billing and payments.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account status, aging analysis, and collections efforts for management review.
- Client Communication: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding their accounts.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations, updating procedures as necessary to maintain compliance.
- Accounts payable and receivable: Process incoming payments, pay bills, send invoices, and ensure timely payments from clients.
- Financial recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and receipts.
- Payroll and taxes: Assist with or manage payroll processing, prepare tax returns, handling sales tax, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Auditing: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
- End of Month: Will be participating in month end closing process.
- Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5 years of accounting related experience
- 5 years in the HVAC service environment (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Business Central Systems
- General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent Microsoft Suites skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)
- Detail-oriented and accurate data entry skills
- Organized, self-motivated team player
- Clear oral and written communication skills
- Ability to keep confidentiality and maintain high level of integrity
Estimated Salary: $33/hr - $44/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
