Position Summary
The Hospitality Housekeeper and Property Care Specialist is a key role for delivering exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and property care for Alma College’s Airbnb-style accommodations. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing accommodations between guest stays, ensuring all areas are spotless, well-stocked, and welcoming.
Supervision Received/Exercised
Reports directly to the Assistant Director – Hospitality & Conference Services and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing accommodations between guest stays, ensuring all areas are spotless, well-stocked, and welcoming.

Reports directly to the Assistant Director – Hospitality & Conference Services and has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essental Functions
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, communal areas, hallways, lobbies, and restrooms, including floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, in accordance with established standards
- Change bedding, towels, and supplies; collect, launder, and restock linens
- Empty trash and recycling; wash interior and first-floor exterior windows
- Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning products and guest supplies
- Report maintenance and safety concerns promptly
- Maintain exterior spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming environment
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and in compliance with safety standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School education or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Reliable transportation between houses and laundry sites
- Working knowledge of cleaning materials and methods
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs
- Ability to stand and remain active on your feet for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong time management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, or vacation rental cleaning.
- Background in laundry management and/or linen services.
- Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations.
- Availability between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, including weekends, depending on guest occupancy.
- A minimum of 2 days per week is required, with the potential for additional days.
- Weekly hours range from a guaranteed 8 hours up to 25 hours during peak seasons.
