Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including shift management and workflow coordination
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service delivery
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all menu items
- Implement and enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely preparation and flawless execution
- Monitor food handling practices to uphold safety standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Lead by example in cooking techniques, kitchen management, and customer service excellence
Requirements
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and 5-6 days a week if required.
- Proven experience in food production within high capacity restaurant environments; banquet and catering experience preferred
- Supervising experience with a track record of managing teams effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Strong background in food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control measures
- Extensive culinary experience with proficiency in cooking techniques, and food handling.
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices including shift management, kitchen operations, and food service management
- Experience working within the food industry with a focus on hospitality standards and customer satisfaction
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams as a chef
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations
