Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential construction environments using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications.
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly to ensure secure and efficient piping systems.
- Conduct welding and other mechanical tasks as needed to support plumbing installations.
- Assist with remodeling projects by performing carpentry tasks and handyman repairs related to plumbing systems.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely when handling large pipes or fixtures on construction sites.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, including installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems.
- Knowledge of construction site procedures, schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and general plumbing principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on active job sites.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work.
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site travel or material transport.
- Prior handyman or remodeling experience is a plus; familiarity with schematics and assembly processes is highly desirable.
