Nursing staff provide direct care to residents while ensuring services are delivered safely, respectfully, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care according to resident care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to the physician or supervising nurse
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care, treatments, and observations
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive resident outcomes
- Support resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards
- Participate in in-services and continuing education
- Perform other duties as assigned
