Allure of Quad Cities is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our Dietary Department. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.

‍ Key Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to food preparation
• Prepare meals in accordance with physician-ordered diets and facility standards
• Assist in developing and implementing dietary policies and procedures
• Ensure food service operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Coordinate meal services with nursing and other departments
• Work collaboratively with the Dietitian and Director of Food Services
• Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
• Ensure all food service procedures are followed consistently
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous dietary/food service experience in healthcare preferred (not required)
• Food Service Sanitation Certification required (ServSafe or equivalent)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with residents and team members
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
• Lift, push, or carry up to 25 lbs regularly
• Ability to taste and smell food to ensure quality
• Assist in emergency situations if needed
