Project Operations Assistant / Field Coordinator
Full-Time Position | New Jersey
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated individual to work directly with our Project Manager / Director of Operations and assist with both field and administrative responsibilities throughout New Jersey.
This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable being on the road, visiting jobsites, dealing with municipal offices, assisting with project coordination, and helping keep projects organized and moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Travel throughout New Jersey to assist with jobsite surveys and site visits
- Attend project meetings, pre-construction meetings, and job walkthroughs as needed
- Visit municipal building departments and town halls to apply for, pick up, and follow up on permits
- Gather jobsite information, measurements, photographs, documentation, and other information needed by the Project Manager
- Assist the Project Manager / Director of Operations with preparing and organizing information for upcoming and active projects
- Deliver and retrieve paperwork, permits, materials, and other project-related items
- Communicate with field personnel, customers, inspectors, municipal offices, and project representatives when necessary
- Assist with preparing job packets and project documentation
- Help maintain organization of project materials, paperwork, and field information
- Provide limited assistance with warehouse organization, inventory, receiving materials, and preparing materials for upcoming jobs
- Assist with other operational and project-related responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a valid driver's license and a very reliable personal vehicle
- Be comfortable driving throughout the State of New Jersey
- Have a good working knowledge of New Jersey roads, towns, and municipalities
- Be dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
- Be comfortable visiting construction sites, municipal offices, and customer locations
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to follow instructions carefully and report information accurately
- Be comfortable taking photographs, gathering measurements, completing paperwork, and using a smartphone and email
- Be willing to assist with light warehouse and material-handling responsibilities when necessary
- Be someone who takes initiative and can help solve day-to-day project and operational issues
Construction, electrical, alarm, permitting, project coordination, or similar industry experience is helpful but not required for the right individual.
Position Details
Schedule: Full-Time
Travel: Regular travel throughout New Jersey
Vehicle: Reliable personal vehicle required
Expenses: Mileage and gas reimbursement available
