Sr. Financial Analyst – Sales & Marketing
9-Month Contract - Covering for employee on leave
Location: Worcester, MA 01606
Pay: $38–$50/hr.
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite (typically Mon/Wed/Fri; Friday may be flexible), core hours 9 AM–5 PM
Seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to partner with Sales and Marketing leadership by providing financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights to support profitable business growth. This role will work independently in a global matrix environment and requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze sales forecasts, pricing, product mix, margins, and Sales & Marketing expenses.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Develop financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Perform profitability analysis and provide financial recommendations for business decisions.
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account management, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare financial performance analysis and commentary.
- Review and validate sales commissions and incentive payments.
- Support internal controls, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct ad hoc and special-project analysis and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive financial analysis experience.
- Strong experience with forecasting, pricing, and profitability analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to navigate financial systems.
- SAP, Power BI, Prophix, and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred.
Salary : $38 - $50
