Position Overview
The Operations Coordinator – Special Projects bridges the gap between manufacturing operations and structured project management. In this hybrid role based out of our Marinette, WI facility, you will work within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment to keep project requirements, schedules, and deliverables on track. You will support senior Project Managers while independently driving multiple operational and process-improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Timeline Tracking: Maintain and update project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- SAP Data Management: Utilize SAP (Project Systems/ERP) daily to track project milestones, materials, and operational data.
- Status Reporting: Gather cross-functional information to prepare accurate, data-driven status reports and dashboards for leadership.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a central point of contact, coordinating project requirements between engineering, supply chain, and production floor teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement Lean initiatives to improve project execution efficiency.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project challenges or part shortages and help develop preventive solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of experience in a project-based, supply chain, or manufacturing operations environment.
- Systems Expertise: Hands-on, working knowledge of SAP (ERP, Project Systems, or Materials Management modules) is required.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple overlapping priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing methodologies (5S, Continuous Improvement, or Kaizen).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Planner).
- Basic understanding of formal project management frameworks (PMI/PMP concepts are a plus).
