Position Summary
The Project Coordinator serves as the primary owner of assigned project commodities, overseeing activities from initial submission through project closure. This role provides advanced project support to Project Managers by coordinating schedules, facilitating meetings, reviewing submittals, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The Project Coordinator collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts, track project progress, and uphold data integrity within all systems of record. This position also functions as a subject matter expert, offering mentorship and training to project management support staff.
Key Responsibilities
Project Ownership & Coordination
- Serve as the owner for assigned commodities throughout the full project lifecycle—from submission to closure.
- Facilitate meetings, coordinate schedules, and manage deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
- Independently generate project updates, reports, and tracking documentation for assigned Project Managers.
- Identify outstanding dependencies and schedule work orders with minimal oversight once prerequisites are met.
- Attend district tactical, customer collaboration, and regional grid team meetings, offering insights and updates.
Submittal Review & Technical Support
- Perform detailed reviews of complex project submissions (e.g., Rule 15 and other regulatory submittals).
- Support Project Managers with documentation review, project scheduling, customer communications, and reporting.
Data Integrity & Reporting
- Conduct routine data integrity audits across tracking systems, reports, and systems of record to ensure accuracy.
- Input and maintain project notes, documentation, and records as required.
- Utilize advanced data manipulation and visualization tools, including Excel formulas, Access, SAP, PowerBI, and related applications.
Collaboration, Leadership & Issue Resolution
- Resolve project conflicts, delays, and errors through collaboration with internal and external parties.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing mentorship and training to project support staff.
- Communicate effectively with customers, project teams, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and progress.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of analytical experience reviewing and interpreting data sets.
- Minimum 5 years of project coordination or project management experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with data manipulation and visualization tools (Excel formulas, PowerBI, pivot tables, etc.).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with database software such as Access, SAP, or equivalent.
Preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the utility industry.
