We are excited to have you join our team as a Canvasser. In this role, you are the face of the Company in the neighborhoods we serve, playing a critical part in helping homeowners take the first step toward improving their homes ,whether it's a new roof, bathroom remodel, windows, doors, stucco, or siding.
Your role is not just about knocking on doors; it's about building trust, starting meaningful conversations, and offering real solutions to real problems. Our primary goal is to generate quality leads and set appointments for our expert Design Consultants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate leads through our neighborhood marketing program in a cost-effective manner.
- Schedule appointments for home improvement projects such as roofing, window replacement, and remodeling.
- Set appointments at specific dates and times where all property owners and/or spouses are present.
- Allow sufficient time for project estimation, inspection, and pricing delivery.
- Record and submit all leads in the CRM immediately after each conversation.
- Update the team in the Teams chat promptly after each lead submission.
- Mark doors in HailTrace after each visit.
- Maintain communication with the team lead regarding campaign changes.
Performance Expectations
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Follow the pitch script and objection-handling techniques you are trained on.
- Complete your full shift unless otherwise approved by your manager.
- Keep your appearance clean and branded (shirt, vest, badge).
- Knock 80–100 doors per shift.
- Achieve 1 demo per 8 hours worked.
- Failure to meet the minimum standard of one demo per eight hours worked within each pay period may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Dress Code

- Khaki/jean shorts when temperatures exceed 75°F
- No jersey-style shorts, rips, tears, or frays
- Company-supplied t-shirts and polos

Work Schedule
- Late Spring / Summer Canvassing Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: As Needed Only
Fall / Winter Canvassing Hours:- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – Dark
- Saturday & Sunday: As Needed Only
Commission Structure:
Canvassers earn a 2% commission on any insurance, repair, or remodel sale directly generated from their lead. Commissions are considered provisional and are not deemed “earned” until the sale is finalized and remains uncanceled.
PRIME Maintenance Programs:
A bonus equivalent to one month's payment of the plan for the first year of the member's subscription. This is paid out once and is not subject to adjustment if the subscription is canceled.
Adjustments for Canceled Sales:
If a sale is canceled before the commission is considered earned, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the following month's provisional commission total or the following pay period's regular earnings if no commissions are due. This deduction will be compliant with wage and hour laws.
Vehicle Allowance:
Canvassers are eligible for a $200 per month vehicle allowance after their first 30 days of employment.

I understand that my employment is at-will, meaning either I or Twin Cities Siding and Roofing may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice. I understand that any commission payments are considered provisional and are not earned until the sale is finalized. I acknowledge that commissions for canceled sales may be deducted from my future earnings, including regular pay, in accordance with state law. I further acknowledge that the monthly vehicle allowance and the commission pay are considered taxable income and will be reported accordingly.
